Yes! We would love the opportunity to show you the venue and discuss the details of your event. Please click on the Contact Us button on the home page. One of our representatives will contact you to schedule a tour time. Since we are owned by the Princess Anne Courthouse Volunteer Rescue Squad and operated by the volunteer members, we typically schedule tours from 5 pm to 8 pm during the week, and we can often also accommodate tours on Saturdays and occasional weekday appointments.

We prefer that you meet with us in person at the facility to review & sign the Rental Agreement and pay the required deposit. For those residing outside of the Hampton Roads area, we may be able to assist you through email or over the phone. For payment plan options, please speak directly to a reservation agent for more information.

We require a deposit of 50% of the Rental Charge or $500.00 whichever is the lesser amount.

Yes, we offer an interest-free payment plan and are happy to work with you. An initial deposit is due at the time of booking. Your balance must be paid in full no less than 7 days prior to your event.

A deposit shall be required upon acceptance and signing of a rental agreement, The deposit shall be refunded for any cancellations received greater than thirty (30) days before the event. Any cancellations less than thirty (30) days before the event will forfeit half of the deposit. If the facility is not useable due to reasons beyond our control, (acts of God, severe weather damage to facility, or laws or regulations preventing its use), Courthouse Horizons shall refund any deposit and payments made.

You are allowed access to the facility when your time block starts, so if you know you will be needing extra time to decorate, speak directly to a reservation agent for more information and ensure you include your decorating time in whatever time block you choose.

When you book your wedding or social event at Courthouse Horizons, the following event essentials are included: tables, chairs, audiovisual equipment & wireless internet.

While we do have friends of the rescue squad that we maintain as a preferred vendor list. (Preferred vendor list is available when requested).

While we do have a preferred vendor, Lendy’s Café, we also have an open-vendor policy. You can bring in any vendor that you would like, including the caterer of your choice, with no restrictions. We are not set up for large event cooking, caterers should be prepared to bring the food in hot boxes to keep it warm for your event.

Yes. We have a small prep space that features a sink, refrigerator, stove with 6 burner range and counter space. We also provide ice and use of a microwave as needed.

Specialty linens in your choice of color and fabric are available for rent through our preferred vendor, Affordable & Luxury Event Rentals. However, we do have an open-vendor policy and you may use any event service of your choosing.

You and your guests are welcome to bring in your own food including homemade items if you would like. Please note that Courthouse Horizons does not provide plates, napkins, flatware or wait staff.

We appreciate the vision and individuality that our clients bring to their events, since we are not party specialists we would refer you to our preferred vendor, Dream Events. Dream Events can meet with you and embrace your creative process & vision, come in and set up your decor during your time block. However, we do have an open-vendor policy and you may use any event service of your choosing.

No, we do not allow the use of open flames for decoration.

Local ordinance bans all use of sparklers and/or fireworks displays without permits.

Bubbles are permitted, however inside they can provide a slipping hazard. We ask that you restrict the use of bubble solution to the outside as much as possible.

We do not allow the use of glitter inside the building.

We do not allow the use of fake flower petals, hay, or confetti inside the building.

We do not allow animals inside the facility, (exception made for certified service animals).

The billiards table and electronic soft tip dart board are owned by Virginia Amusement. We have an agreement with Virginia Amusements and the games are left in a state that allows unlimited play. We charge $40/event for unlimited use during the event. If you choose not to have them available, we will remove the darts and turn the power off to the dart board. We will also secure the billiard balls and place wood covers on the table.

Upon Request, we can sit with you and show you the distributers website and the options we are able to order.

Since the Bar is on a separate bank account, we can accept cash / check / credit card/debit card.
